What are the reasons for the rejection of the claims?

Below are some of the reasons for claims rejection:

  • Lapsed Policy: Premiums not paid or policy expired.
  • Exclusions: Events like suicide or risky activities are not covered.
  • Non-Disclosure: Not sharing important health or personal info at application.
  • Cause of Death Not Covered: Death due to an excluded condition.
  • Waiting Period: Claim made before the waiting period ends.
  • Losses mentioned under exclusions
  • Loss not qualifying under the definition of loss either marginally or totally as per coverage definition
     

If death is due to terror attack/war/natural calamities, will the claim be settled?

Yes. Death due to terrorist attack / war / natural calamities is covered under basic benefit in life insurance policy (unless specifically excluded in Policy Contract) and the claim is settled if all the documentation is in order and all the conditions are fulfilled

How can I report a claim?

What happens if my claim is rejected?

If your claim is rejected, we will provide the reasons in writing. You may also appeal the decision or submit additional documents if required.

How will I be notified about the claim decision?

Once your claim has been processed, we will notify you of the decision via  preferred method of communication, whether by phone, email, or post.
