What Does the Shriram Life Critical Illness Care Rider Cover?
Shriram Life Critical Illness Care Rider covers six specified critical illnesses. These include cancer, heart attack, stroke, major organ or bone marrow transplant, kidney failure requiring regular dialysis, and open chest bypass surgery. Shriram Life Critical Illness Care Rider pays a lump sum benefit if the life insured suffers from any of these diseases and survives for 30 days after the diagnosis. However, on maturity, no benefit is payable.
What Does the Shriram Life Critical Illness Care Rider Not Cover?
Shriram Life Critical Illness Care Rider does not cover suicide, self-inflicted injuries, alcohol or substance abuse, criminal acts, pre-existing conditions, nuclear contamination, participation in adventurous or hazardous activities, or sports. Moreover, no benefit is payable if the life insured passes away during the policy tenure. There is also a waiting period of 90 days during which critical illnesses are not covered.
