Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a government pension scheme for Indian citizens aged 18 to 40 years, linked to a bank savings account. APY provides a guaranteed monthly pension after age 60 based on contributions made during working years. Having the Atal Pension Yojana statement lets you track your contributions, view transaction history, and verify your account details. Regularly checking your statement helps you confirm timely debit of contributions and ensures you stay on track with the scheme.

What Is an Atal Pension Yojana Statement?

An Atal Pension Yojana statement is a detailed record of all contributions made to your APY account. It shows monthly or periodic deposits, total contributions, and account details. The statement helps you verify contributions credited, PRAN details, pension amount chosen, and nominee information.

Ways to Get Your Atal Pension Yojana Statement

Online Methods

  1. NSDL CRA Portal:

Visit the APY portal of the Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) managed by NSDL. Log in using your PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) or use the option without PRAN by entering your name, date of birth, and bank account. Once logged in, go to the ‘Transaction Statement’ section and download your APY contribution statement as a PDF.

  1. APY & NPS Lite Mobile App / UMANG App:

Download the ‘APY and NPS Lite’ app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Log in with your PRAN and registered mobile number through OTP verification. You can view recent contributions, download the transaction statement, or check your e-PRAN card.

Offline Methods

  1. Annual Physical Statement:
APY subscribers receive a printed statement of account annually at the registered postal address. This physical document provides your contribution history and account details.

  2. Bank or Post Office Branch:
Visit the bank or post office where your APY account is maintained. You can request a printed transaction history or passbook entry update for your APY contributions.

  3. SMS Alerts:
Many banks linked with APY send SMS updates to your registered mobile number for contribution credits and account status. This does not replace the full statement but helps you monitor payments.

How to Download Your APY Statement Online (Step by Step)

  1. Go to the official CRA portal for APY.

  2. Choose login with PRAN, or use “Without PRAN” if you do not remember it.

  3. Enter your name, date of birth, bank account number, and captcha or PRAN with date of birth.

  4. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify.

  5. After login, go to the transaction or account statement section.

  6. Choose the financial year or period and download the PDF statement.

Alternative Ways to Access Your Statement

If you cannot use online channels, your bank can help you download or print your APY statement. You can also use SMS alerts to monitor recent contributions and confirm if payments are credited on time.

Why Checking Your APY Statement Matters

Regularly checking your Atal Pension Yojana statement helps you ensure all your contributions are received and recorded correctly. It also helps you know your pension amount, nominee details, and any discrepancies in contributions. Having the statement also supports compliance if you need the document for tax or verification purposes.
